Ephemera

This 2012 exhibition was my first collaboration with William Eakin and the last show at Golden City Fine Art in Winnipeg. Eakin’s photographs of vintage watch faces were paired with my found-object sculptures in the now-defunct Chinatown storefront gallery.

The work –A Pound of Feathers is a diptych of 1940s kitchen scales, one weighing a jar of paper scraps, the other a jar of buttons, keys, and other detritus. In her review, the local art critic insisted on mentioning the actual weight of the items.
