Whenever I watch television, the screen offers up hundreds of thousands of stills, some of which have been captured for this ongoing series. As a child, my television time was restricted, and I don’t like watching TV alone. Over the pandemic, however, my partner and I have completely descended into long nightly TV trances. The glowing box keeps us company – a blinking, chattering third wheel. It comforts us as we use our iPhones to delay the dark void where we exist, plagued by our thoughts.
