Funhouse
In 2021, I photographed a 15,000 square-foot postmodern mansion in Toronto’s exclusive Bridle Path neighbourhood. Even devoid of furniture, the house shed PoMo tones of peach and mint green. Vacant for some time, the power and water had been shut off, and rumour has it bad things happened there. I brought my partner Don Hewak with me who acted as security guard/muse. I was struck by the vast number of empty built-in drawers- places to safeguard infinite possessions? It felt like an Egyptian tomb.
